With a lifelong obsession for fishing and a love for the ocean, Captain Josh brings local knowledge and a friendly attitude to every charter. Captain Josh is fully certified as a Transport Canada Fishing Guide. When he is not on the charter boat, you’ll find him chasing fish from his Zodiac. Whether it helping guests land their first big catch or sharing stories about local lingcod spots, Captain Josh is always ready to make your day on the water memorable.

Captain Turk (Andrew Turkstra) has over 20 years of experience fishing and exploring the waters around Vancouver Island. As a Transport Canada certified fishing and tour guide, Captain Turk has a genuine respect for the life and natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. His passion for fishing, his love of nature and his friendliness towards his guests make for unforgettable adventures.
During the spring of 2024, I received an email from a young man asking if he could come work with me aboard my charter vessel. “You don’t even have to pay me,” he said, “I’ll just come and work for free!” The young man I am referring to is Joshua Kurytnik, Reel Time’s second fully licensed captain. Now in his third season with us, Captain Josh has proved himself as a tremendous addition to Reel Time’s legacy of providing the ultimate fishing adventure.
