Nanaimo Fishing Report, May 2, 2017 from Reel Time Fishing Charters

May 2017 Fishing Report from Reel Time Fishing Charters

Another great afternoon on the water with Reel Time Fishing Charters. We caught the back end of high tide and had action right away. An hour or so after, the bite was off so we went searching for bait in a few areas I haven’t fished much this year. Our little adventure awarded us with something I wasn’t quite expecting, a beautiful Lingcod to add to the 2 nice salmon we had put in the box earlier. Hoping to hook a few more Chinook, we waited it out for tide change. An hour or so before the change, the bite was back on and we put our final two fish in the box. Two happy guests…, 4 Springs and a Ling. Good times continue with Reel Time Fishing Adventures.

Fishing in Nanaimo should remain good for the next few weeks.  If you are going to be taking shorter trips (mornings/afternoons/evenings), my suggestion would be to book your trip around the tide change.  If you’d rather just jump on the boat where everything is ready to go, give us a call, chances are, you won’t be disappointed.
